Comings and Goings

Great news! Not only was I allowed to go outside today (first time to leave the house in a whole week!) but Dad will be released from the hospital tomorrow! And by home, I refer to our temporary home with Gloria near the hospital. He will be my roomie for the next couple of weeks and everyone in the house is doing a great job about keeping our "bubbles (aka our rooms)" squeaky clean. I saw him for the first time today since last Friday and what a miracle!! He's truly a new man from head to toe. We are truly amazed at his recovery and for the first time, I think it's finally starting to sink in that I gave part of my liver to my dad. I doubted my purpose and this process when I saw him in ICU last week and fear kicked in. But today was truly a reflection on why we sacrificed so much and knowing he is going home tomorrow affirms why I did this in the first place. I even got to reunite with two of my favorite nurses today. I was so blessed to have Agnes and Sylvia as two of my nurses and they were my angels in disguise. I know nurses are suppose to take care of you, but our relationship was different. They went above and beyond both times I was admitted to the hospital to check on me even when they weren't assigned as my nurse. They embraced me and my family with hugs and kisses and Agnes would never leave my side without saying I love you. She told all the staff on the 7th floor that I was her adopted daughter and since David was part of me, that she would take him too! They kept me emotionally strong and faithful through all the ups and downs. They saw all my tears (whether they were tears of joy, fear, or pain) and nurtured me as if I was their own daughter. It's no coincidence that God hand picked two of the most loving nurses for me and Agnes was assigned to take care of Dad on a few occasions before and after he was admitted to ICU. It brought me peace knowing he was in great hands. David took these pictures today as I reunited with Dad and my guardian angels!

On a sad note, David and Aunt Lorena left today to go back home. I miss them terribly and it's only been a few hours! They've both been in New York since September 22 so it was a true act of love and kindness for them to stay and devote all this time to be here and helping us with everything. Being around so much family makes me wish we were all closer. My family is huge and I'm sure we could build our own colony with houses next to each other. Or would that drive us crazy? Either way, I've enjoyed all this time with everyone and another blessing I should be grateful for in my life.

  4. I want to share with you what the Lord revealed to me this morning. When I opened one of my devocional books, It was on a page I wrote down the day I called this church in NY city to pray for your dad. The Church's name was Times Square Church,www.worldchallenge.org. The person who took my called and prayed her name was Francis. Until todayday I realized Agnes Church is the same. She gave me a book wrote by her Pastor. There is a connection there, I believe with all my heart she was sent by God as a token of His love, letting us know He answered the prayer the moment it was placed in His TRHONE ROOM. Thank you my Father!

  5. First of all,

Tati, We rejoice rejoice rejoice, and praise you on how you began this journey, planned by our Heavenly Father, with such faith and courage.
Our Father is always giving us little pushes in our life where special people he has placed there are waiting for you to serve you. You and David Allen would be expert teachers in "showing others in love in family in friends how to give love and kindness to a loved one in hospital"
David Allen's angels gave him the special touch of comfort and healing that I have never seen in any hospital setting. His love you received during your jouney made human frailty not even happen; his protection of you reminded me of a mother taking care of her first born. How he whispered to you and careesed you was beautiful to witness. It was like angels had a cloud over both of you giving victorious living and rich blessings to you every day in the hospital. Please continue Tati to have Jesus in your heart and follow him; for it is clear from where you are right now that Father God was with you all the way and still is. WE LOVE YOUR WITNESSING TO GOD in your blogging; you are precious; remarkable; very courageous and on and on woman of many gifts for all of us to witness. you have inspired us and your whole family, the docs and nurses; it is your precious roll in life we enjoy. We enjoyed every precious moment we spent with you; the laughter, the quietness just watching you sleep; to see you in pain was so hard on us we so wanted to trade places. pleaswe please keep up your exciting new career, writer, inspiration speaker, teacher, home health care (i loved your funny comments about fathers "roomie" but I did not understand the "bubbles" must be inside joke.
Dayle and I love you Tatiana from top of your beautiful head to your little feet your are adored by us. David Allen loves you so much and is missing you so much; he tells us every night how hard it is. But space away from each other makes your love stronger; that is God's way of making your marriage be everlasting.

Tati you are like a ray sunshine who awakens your heart to everyone you come in touch with and for us to be part of your life, we praise God in his Holy name for giving us YOU. We love you in a perfect way Tati.
    Loving you forever,
    Dayle and Sheila
YOU SHOULD BE WRITING BOOKS; FIND SOMEONE THERE IN NYC THAT IS IN THE PUBLISHING BUSINESS.
YOUR NEW CAREER THAT HAS UNVEILED ITSELF TO US ALL;;;;;;;;;;Writer and Author; Tatiana Lorena Penney always have a penny in your pocket helps keep your connection with God all day.
YOU DO NOT KNOW THIS; BUT EVERYTIME I SEE A PENNY ON THE GROUND, I PICK IT UP AND LOOK UP TO HEAVEN AND SAY HELLO TO MY LITTLE GRANDMA. SHE NEVER HAD MONEY SO EVERYTIME WE STAYED WITH HER SHE GAVE US A PENNY FOR GOOD DEED; SHE WAS SO IN TUNE WITH GOD; HE WAS HER LIFE; HER SAVIOR; HER DAILY LIFE; SHE GAVE ME MY PERSONAL JOY WITH GOD AND INSPIRED ME TO READ THE BIBLE EVERY MORNING; I EVEN USE THE CHILDREN'S BIBLE SHE GAVE ME WHEN I WAS TEN YEARS OLD. SHE ROCKED WITH JESUS; SHE WALKED ON A CLOUD AND HER WHOLE LIFE WAS SPENT WITH JESUS.

DAYLE AND I LOVE YOU LIKE OUR VERY OWN DAUGHTER.

LATER PLEASE POST MORE WE ENJOY YOUR WRITINGS.
